     When we listen the word 'Tandoori Chicken" mouth starts watering. Tandoori Chicken name is derived from Tandoor which is a bell shaped clay oven used for cooking in kitchen. It is a main course dish or you can also enjoy it as starter which has prepared with the marinade of Yogurt, spices & lemon juice and then cooked with the help of skewers. Tandoori chicken was originated in punjab. To get the traditional flavor of tandoori chicken, just follow the recipe below. First we prepare the Tandoori Masala Powder. You can also use the readymade but homemade spices powders are always better in taste.
 
      Tandoori chicken is such a dish that I had been enjoying since I was 10 years old. I still remember that if my relatives gone to restaurant, they definitely take tandoori chicken parcel for me. I have tasted this dish in many restaurants but the taste remains the same.. Today I am telling you the recipe of Tandoori Chicken. so you can enjoy it at home. You must have a Tandoor or Oven to make this recipe. So let's begin with Tandoori Masala.

◆ Tandoori Masala Ingredients:

● 2 teaspoon Garlic powder
● 1 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
● 2 teaspoon Kasthoori Methi
● 2 teaspoon Ginger powder
● 2 teaspoon Cinnamon
● 2 teaspoon Cloves
● 2 teaspoon Mace
● 2 teaspoon Black Cardamom
● 4 tablespoon Dry Red food color
● 3 tablespoon Cumin seeds
● 4 tablespoon Coriander seeds
● 2 teaspoon Black peppercorns
● 2 teaspoon Green Cardamom
● Salt to taste

◆ Method:

1. Dry rost all the solid ingredients excluding powders. Let it cool own and make a smooth powder of it.

2. Heat pan on low flame. Add all the powders together and mix it well. Roast it until starts releasing aroma. Let it cool down and store in a air pack container.

◆ Tandoori Chicken Ingredients

● 1 Full Chicken Skin Removed
● Coriander Powder 1 Tbsp
● Cumin Powder 1 Tbsp
● Chat Masala 1/2 Tbsp
● Garam Masala 1 Tbsp
● Hung Curd 3/4th Cup
● Ginger-Garlic Paste 1 Tbsp
● Tandoori Masala Powder 2 Tbsp
● Cayenne Pepper Powder 2 Tsp
● Lemon Juice 3 Tsp
● Salt to taste
● Butter 2 Tbsp

◆ Method:

1. Wash the chicken properly and remove the skin of the chicken. Make the slashes on the whole chicken.

2. Take the chicken in a big bowl. Add Garam masala powder, Cumin Powder, Coriander Powder, Chat Masala, Tandoori Masala Powder, Cayenne Pepper Powder, Ginger-Garlic Paste, Butter, Lemon Juice one by one and mix it well. Rub all the masala over the chicken.

3. Cover it and refrigerate upto 8 hours for marinating process or overnight. Remove the chicken from the refrigerator at least 30 minutes before cooking. Stick the skewers in the chicken.

4. Roast it in a tandoor until juices are clear and chicken is cooked from all the sides untill little burn coloured. If roasting in a oven, preheat the oven to 450F or 230°C degree. Cook the chicken upto 40 minutes until the juices run clear & chicken looks little burnt in colour. Serve hot and sprinkle some chat masala on it and with onion salad.
